Bosch JS572E Top-Handle Jig Saw
Bosch’s new Jig Saws with Precision Control™ II system:
Bosch, the inventor of the jig saw, and t-shank jigsaw blade, recently debuted two new jigsaw additions to their line up which I got to try last month at their 2012 media event.
Both the Bosch JS572E Top-Handle Jig Saw and the JS572EB Barrel-Grip Jig Saw boast Bosch’s new Precision Control™ II system. The patented technology features double-roller blade guides in a gold-colored guidance assembly to provide even more accuracy and keeps cutting blades firmly in place and its auto-centering function self-adjusts to help keep the blades firmly within the rollers.
At the media event I got to test out the Bosch JS572E Top-Handle Jig Saw and loved it. Watch product manager Jim Stevens talk about these jigsaws.

Also new to this jig saw is a switchable LED light, switchable dust blower, and a very nice tool-less blade change system that ejects the blade and eliminates the need to touch a hot blade. Believe me I’ve received many a burn on my finger from hot blades!
Both saws have tool-less die-cast magnesium footplates, a 7.2 amp rated motor and variable speed. The top-handle saw also features an accelerator trigger to allow adjustment from the saw’s lowest speed to the operating speed as set on the dial.
I’ve always had a Bosch jigsaws [plural] and the Bosch JS572E Top-Handle Jig Saw will replace them both!
The JS572EL and JS572EBL kits each retail for about $299 and include the brand’s new line of L-Boxx cases, which stack and latch together for easy transport, as well as dust collection kits and steel footplate overshoes. Both tools are available now through authorized dealers nationwide. The JS572EN and JS572EBN kits have a simplified set of contents and will retail for about $249.
