PORTER-CABLE® Compact, Low-Noise, One-Gallon Trim Compressor
TOWSON, Md. (June 20, 2011) – PORTER-CABLE announced today the introduction of its heavy-duty, one-gallon, 135 Max PSI quiet trim compressor (C1010). The new one-man compressor offers contractors a lightweight, compact design and quiet operation for custom trim and/or punch-out work. Ideal for finish carpenters, remodelers and woodworkers, the C1010 can be used for case, base, crown and chair rail trim molding, custom installation of furniture, shelves or built-ins; as well as for cabinet trim installation and new plumbing line pressure testing.
“The C1010 continues the PORTER-CABLE tradition of delivering innovative and efficient air compressors to the professional,” said James Vintzel, PORTER-CABLE group product manager. “After visiting jobsites across the country, it became obvious contractors wanted a durable, compact, lightweight compressor for a 1-man operation or for simple touch-up trim jobs, and the C1010 answers that call.”
Performance
The C1010 produces air at a rate of .75 standard feet per cubic minute (SCFM) at 90 pounds per square inch (PSI) and 135 Max PSI. This PSI quality delivers high-surge performance with a quick, 20-second recovery.
At 71 decibels (dBA), the trim compressor provides professionals with a quieter operation (up to 50 percent), compared to existing units in the marketplace (* per ISO3744). The C1010 is a good option for work in any internal environment, and professionals can talk over the unit while it’s in-use. The compressor was designed with a 2.6 AMP draw motor to deliver easy start-up even in cold weather or with extension cord use. In addition, a high-flow regulator provides maximum air pressure to help to increase jobsite performance. The C1010 is also equipped with an oil-free, long-life pump, which helps to enhance pump life. This oil-free design eliminates the need for contractors to check or refill the pump, and it also helps keep the jobsite clean by preventing oil from leaking onto work surfaces.
Ease of Use/Portability
The compact design of the C1010 is ideal for professionals who prefer to carry their compressors around the worksite. Weighing in at 24-lbs. and measuring 9-inches wide, the narrow “suitcase” design allows the compressor to be easily transported and stored. For jobsite efficiency, PORTER-CABLE equipped the compressor with a one-hand, universal quick connect for easy-to-use operation. Additionally, the C1010 was designed with a ball drain valve for quick and thorough tank draining and a convenient cord wrap for easy storage.
Durability
The efficient and unique design of the C1010 ensures maximum durability on any jobsite. PORTER-CABLE built the compressor with an innovative roll cage and full-protection frame design to shield the unit from routine wear and tear and accidental damage. In addition, a metal control panel covers the air manifold to provide further protection to key components of the compressor.
The PORTER-CABLE Heavy-Duty One-Gallon Quiet Trim Compressor (C1010) is available now at The Home Depot. The compressor will retail for $139 and carries a one-year limited warranty.
