Ryobi TEK4 RP4010 – Laser Distance Measure

I’ve been using the Ryobi TEK4 RP4010 – Laser Distance Measure for quite some time now and wanted to share my thoughts on it. The TEK4 RP4010 is an extremely useful measuring device for estimating and quickly measuring existing conditions.

TEK4 RP4010 Review

I’ve been using the TEK4 RP4010 Laser Distance Measure for over a year now and I never leave the shop without it. I find it to be as useful as my tape measure and even more useful when I’m estimating jobs. In a matter of seconds I can quickly measure the length, width and height of any room along with area and volume calculations. No more worrying about how far I can stretch a tape before the hook comes free or how high I can dangle a tape before it comes crashing down on my head. I simply point, shoot and record the measurements.

I’ve used several other brands and I keep coming back to the Ryobi. For one thing I think it’s built to last. It has a metal flip out tab (some other brands have plastic) which is very useful along with easy to understand controls. The battery pack holds a charge for a VERY long time (I’m on the first charge with over a year in use!). And the TEK4 RP4010 consistently produces accurate results that I can rely on.
