Metabo HPT 36V MultiVolt 3″ Cordless Duplex Nailer Preview
Metabo HPT Model NR3675DD Cordless Duplex Nailer
During our visit to the 2020 World of Concrete we visited the Metabo HPT booth and found a new tool that really impressed us They have a cordless duplex nailer. In fact, it was the most impressive tool we found at the entire show! Every once and awhile I see a tool and ask myself why no one thought of it sooner. Metabo HPT is introducing a cordless duplex nailer on their MultiVolt platform.
If I had to guess there are millions and millions of pounds of duplex nails pounded into lumber every year by hand with a hammer. Everything from concrete form work to temporary bracing for walls and trusses typically get done with duplex nails for easier removal later.

Cordless Duplex Nailer – First Thoughts
We got to demo this cordless duplex nailer shooting 3″ duplex nails into a 4×4 PT post. The nailer had no trouble sinking every nail as fast as we wanted to nail. It really did feel like their regular cordless framing nailer. One cool accessory they may want to explore is a positive placement tip which would be awesome for installing duplex nails into nailer plates similar to a Tico nailer.
This new cordless duplex nailer should be available this summer (2020) or sooner. While they wouldn’t give us a price, they did indicate it would be similar to their cordless framer. This should be a HUGE hit with framers and concrete form framers. As soon as we can get our hands on one we’ll give it a thorough review.
