We don’t use a right-angle drill all the time, but it’s the tool we use when we need to drill a hole or drive a screw in a tight/awkward area where a conventional drill won’t fit. A right angle drill is a versatile tool that can be used in almost any DIY project that requires you to work in confined spaces, such as plumbing and other construction jobs. Tight Fitting Areas

Prior to the right angle drill, we’ve used right-angle drilling attachments with a drill; this can put you in awkward postures at times and can also restrict the use of both hands to hold the drill, attachment, and whatever you are fastening. This can be very frustrating!  This drill only requires one hand to use it, it has a very large trigger switch and it offers high and low-speed drilling ranges.

This Ridgid sub-compact brushless right angle drill is just what’s needed to get at those tight and awkward spots for driving 1-1/4″ screws to secure a benchtop to some cubbies built for a mudroom. The 375in-lbs of torque is plenty for completing this task.
