New Milwaukee M18 Sawzall is Here

M18 Sawzall 2621When we attended Milwaukee Tool’s New Product Symposium back in August of 2014 one of the tools that didn’t receive a ton of fanfare but was no less impressive was the new Milwaukee M18 Sawzall. It is replacing the previous model, the 2620, which we covered during the 18 Volt Cordless Combo Kit Head2Head article. The FUEL line and brushless tools in general get plenty of electronic ink around the tool world but Milwaukee is still very committed to improvements to its brushed tools. The new M18 Sawzall Model 2621 is further proof of that commitment.

2nd place isn’t all bad

According to Milwaukee the new M18 Sawzall is only bested in speed and runtime by its FUEL’d brethren. The FUEL Sawzall does come at a $70 premium though over the M18 Sawzall so saving a bit of dough while still having a fast cutter appeals to many contractors, myself included. This will be a good buy for the contractor that wants a great saw but is still mindful of the costs. For me I think this would be a great saw to outfit the crews that may be really hard on tools. It still cuts really fast but when they run it over with the skid loader it won’t cost me a premium to replace it.

See it in action

Rob and Todd took a competitor vs the new M18 Sawzall at the symposium last year, check out the results in the video. To see the saw in person, head to your local independent Milwaukee Tool dealer or The Home Depot. Both should have them in stock currently.
