Channellock CODE BLUE Pliers318B and 430CB
Channellock CODE BLUE Plier Line Now Made In USA
Whether your a Professional contractor, serious DIYer or just a homeowner that demands top quality tools, you’ll want to take a close look at what Channellock is up to.
Recently Channellock announced that they are now making their entire CODE BLUE pliers line in their Meadville, PA plant. The pliers were always made in Meadville but the grips were outsourced outside the states.
The new Channellock CODE BLUE Pliers318B and 430CB pliers line will have an entirely new American made grip which Channellock is hooping you will find more comfortable, greater durability and provide you with a better gripping surface. These grips will be made with a composite thermoplastic elastomer core and over mold on.
Some tool companies accommodate all levels of tool users from junk to quality but that is not the case with Channellock. These pliers are top notch in quality, durability and performance.
While I’m personally happy about Channellock’s decision to make the grips in the US, I’m personally not a fan of the larger grip. Time may tell and change that but I’m a creature of habit and really like the older grip. I’m taking these tools to the job-site to use and try out and will report back to you if I change my mind.
The two newest pliers will be:
1. Channellock 318B CODE BLUE long nose plier
2. Channellock 430CB CODE BLUE tongue and groove plier
Note – the new handle coating is not recommended for dielectric properties
