Bad Ass Extension Cords

Bad Ass Click-to-Lock Lighted Extension Cord

Be honest how many of us learned to tie a knot in an extension cord to keep it from unplugging or to lower a tool off staging? I recently reviewed a bunch of extension cords from Bad Ass Extension Cords – yup that’s their name. I love it!

Bad Ass Extension Cords Click -to-Lock Connection

What caught my attention was their “Click-to-Lock lighted cords. When you insert a standard u-ground straight plug into a Bad Ass locking connector the two will not separate until you release the automatic lock.

I like how all you have to do is push the cord in and it clicks shut and locks in. No more accidental disconnects or wasted time plugging your tools back in.

To show you what I mean I hung 44 pounds on this cord [22 lbs on the plug] – it’s been here 24 hours. It hasn’t un-clipped or shows any signs of wear and tear.

The molded on connectors will not separate from the cord and provide water resistance and the lighted ends tell you when power is flowing through the cord. The cord is Water resistant, fire retardant, and maintains the flexibility to -40°F. Safety-certified by Underwriters’ Laboratories (UL).

Bad Ass Extension Cords can come in uncommon colors so it’s more difficult to confuse them with other cords. The cord you see here is a 12 gauge / 50 footer.  It costs $80.00

Overall Final Thoughts on the Bad Ass Extension Cords

The Bad Ass Cords give you the security of twist locks with the convenience of straight blades.I’d have to say that’s pretty Bad Ass!

Just to be a little more accurate, that’s actually 22lbs on the plug, not 44. The left side of the cord is supporting the other 22lbs.

    1. Hi Higgo you’re correct but I wrote “44 lbs on the cord,” which is accurate. We added a note in the article based on your comment. ROB
