What is a Pocket Hole?
The Kreg jig creates what’s called a pocket screw hole. It is an angled hole that is counter sunk, hiding the screw and creating a strong mechanical joint. On finished woodwork it’s KEY to hid your fasteners.
How it Works
The Pocket-Hole Jig 320, is two jigs in one. The two [or more] jigs snap together and use an included spacer to create seperate the screw placements.
The Pocket-Hole Jig 320 uses a simple, easy-to-understand setup process that gives you the versatility to fasten materials between ½” and 1½” thick.

- 2 drill guides
- 1 removable spacer
- Material-thickness stops
- 1 square drive driver bit
- Drill bit and stop collar
- 1 universal clamp pad adapter

Cool Kreg Jig Features
The drill bit has etched markings for drilling depths at ½”, ¾” and 1-½”. The drill bit and driver bases are hex fit, so it can fit into a quick release, like on my impact driver. There are also depth gauge stops on the Kreg jig itself, keeping it at the proper length from the edge of the board.
The included material thickness gauge is easy to set up and the clamp adapter and anti-slip base that clips onto a clamp and indexes into the jig. This base holds the jig precisely in position while you drill. Clamping has always been a bit of a pain in the field, and this adapter makes it much easier.
Overall Thoughts
If you have ever thought about trying out pocket screws, this is the kit to get. You will still need a clamp or two. This kit makes pocket holes in the field easier!

I’ve never seen this kit, but I use one very similar. Still a Kreg pocket hole jig. Every carpenter needs one, honestly. I use it mostly when I’m doing fences and decks. The hidden fasteners really make a difference, especially on a nice cedar fence or deck.
The only thing I wish is they had galvanized or stainless pocket screws. I’ve just been using regular construction screws for exterior use, but you’ve gotta be careful not to split the piece you’re attaching.
